Piano Makeover with Chalk Paint®

I have been so inspired by a project one of our sweet customers did a couple of months ago. She transformed her family's piano into a real showstopper. It made me buy a piano of my own to makeover with Chalk Paint (TM) Decorative Paints. Here is some inspiration for you, hopefully I will get some time to make over my own piano and I can share it with you.

This is what the piano started out as. Remember you can make so many beautiful colors if you mix Chalk Paint together, above is what Ciruelo Interiors did to show you some of the variance with old white mixed in, I know the colors look off on the computer, you will just have to come in to see them for yourself

Here are some close ups of the beautiful carving on the sheet music stand and handle, Beautiful!

This was painted with a base coat of Arles Chalk Paint and Aubusson Blue was painted on top and slightly distressed to show the mustard Arles peeking through in areas. This was clear and dark waxed to give a little extra patina to the piece.

Here is just a little more inspiration for you from here

Hope this inspires you to paint more than just your cabinets and tables, Don't be afraid to paint the big pieces in your life.
