The Party's in the Paint

You can make any party special just by adding a little pop of something painted.

I bought this old Jenny Lind high chair for $3.00 at a garage sale and knew I wanted to use it for a birthday photo shoot.  I love turquoise so I picked Annie Sloan’s Florence and gave it a new look. What a fun little photo prop, that also has some function. Two functions, actually. One, to use for the birthday party smash cake fun. And two, to keep the little one contained. It turned out so good! The photo shoot at the party was a big success!

Try mixing up a custom color to match your event. This piece is a mix of Emperors Silk and Old White, looks like a Bubble Gum Pink. Love this piece used as a dessert bar at this adorable vintage wedding.

One of the coolest things about today’s wedding scene is the possibility for personality. Every wedding has so much potential to be unique! While staying, of course, as traditional or inventive as a bride and groom want to be. Projects like this chalkboard backdrop make me smile– details like this create a “wow” moment at any wedding or party!

What will you paint to give your party or event it’s “WOW” moment?
